On the Road Again

Hello lovelies!

I hope everyone had a fantastically merry Christmas, and I hope Santa brought you everything you wanted!! I definitely felt blessed yesterday as I realized how many good things I have in my life. I have the most amazing family, the funniest, most incredible friends, and a loving, supportive boyfriend. When you stop and take a minute to reflect on your life and focus on what you do have instead of what you don't have, you'll see how fortunate you are and realize that not one moment of life should be taken for granted :)

Santa's Coming!!!!

Does that title make anyone else think of the movie Elf? Because that's what I was aiming for :) Tis the season, right?? Or maybe I'm just delusional because I'm SO DANG EXCITED FOR CHRISTMAS!!! Christmas is most definitely my favorite season, and today just got me even more excited for tomorrow!!

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

...but it's more likely to be a sunny, 65 degree Christmas with the way the weather's been lately! It's been so dang warm lately! I have literally worn a scarf ONCE since I got home from school. It's insane. And scarves are one of my favorite accessories! Sad :( But don't get me wrong--I'm definitely not complaining about the warmness, considering I despise being cold. In my crazy mind, the reality of Christmas doesn't set in til I'm under a blanket by the Christmas tree sipping hot chocolate. Speaking of Christmas, IT'S IN TWO DAYSSSS!!! Ahhh! I am so excited! Christmas is literally my absolute favorite season. I love shopping for other people (as well as myself, hehe) and I get so excited seeing people's expressions as they open a gift from me. I just love Christmas! Ok enough rambling, let's get to today's events. And I guess I should cover yesterday's, too. Looks like I've been lazy lately....

Failure Turned Success and Cookies Galore

So many cookies!!! We baked even MORE cookies today but we finally finished! But first, let me back up to last night. A group of my friends and I all went to dinner and then to a club in town, Cotton Eyed Joe's (don't judge it by the name!). We had heard it was really fun and last night was our first time ever going there. Anyway, it was pretty dead, as we kinda expected. We checked it out for a little, and then decided we should just go to a movie or something. As we were walking out, we asked a man what days are the good days to go to the Joe's. He happily gave us a lot of info and then kindly offered to teach us some of the line dances they do there!! Dancing? You know we said yes! We learned three or four dances (including the Wobble!!!) and then practiced them a few times. We had so much fun!! I'm so glad we ran into that man! He definitely turned a failure of a night into a great success.

The Best Way to Spread Christmas Cheer...

...is hanging out with your best friends! Last night was the third annual Christmas party/gift exchange with my best friends and I. To say I was a little bit excited is an understatement. I was practically peeing my pants I was so ecstatic! This Christmas party is special every year, but this year I knew it would be extra special because it would be the one time over break all my best friends were together again. Plus, I knew it would be a night of non-stop laughter, non-stop eating, and non-stop fun :)

Hello, lovelies!!

This will be a quick post since I'm rushing out the door right now, but just wanted to give a quick update and share my excitement for tonight! Tonight is the third annual Christmas party that my friends and I have every year. We always have a huge feast, a secret Santa gift exchange, look at lights, and just have a grand time all around. So that's what I'm up to tonight!!!! I cannot wait to see all my friends again! I'll leave you with a little look at the past years' parties....

Lazy Sunday

Hey there friends!

Today has been entirely unproductive in every aspect. But that's what Sundays are for, right? And what five week long breaks from school are for, haha. The only thing relatively productive I did today was knit. *Wow--That sounds so lame now that I type it* I first learned to knit in high school and was actually in Club K.N.I.T (Knitting for the Needy In Tennessee) my freshman and sophomore year. Anyway, I stopped knitting after my sophomore year and I just recently got back into the hobby. I started knitting a scarf on Friday night when my friends and I were having our crafting night, and I have surprisingly made a lot of progress on it. I just can't wait to finish so I can model my creative handiwork.
