Failure Turned Success and Cookies Galore

So many cookies!!! We baked even MORE cookies today but we finally finished! But first, let me back up to last night. A group of my friends and I all went to dinner and then to a club in town, Cotton Eyed Joe's (don't judge it by the name!). We had heard it was really fun and last night was our first time ever going there. Anyway, it was pretty dead, as we kinda expected. We checked it out for a little, and then decided we should just go to a movie or something. As we were walking out, we asked a man what days are the good days to go to the Joe's. He happily gave us a lot of info and then kindly offered to teach us some of the line dances they do there!! Dancing? You know we said yes! We learned three or four dances (including the Wobble!!!) and then practiced them a few times. We had so much fun!! I'm so glad we ran into that man! He definitely turned a failure of a night into a great success.

So, back to the cookies! Every year for Christmas my mom makes a ton of cookies to give to family, friends, and to take to parties. She's been baking pretty much all week, and we just finished baking the last batch of cookies. Here's a look at some of them.

All this tuperware if full of cookies!
And that's not even close to all of them! So I pretty much never want to see a cookie again. Ok, lies, I will most likely eat ten one tomorrow :) The rest of today was pretty much like every other day of break--wake up, gym, craft, be lazy. Ahhh what a wonderful life! My little sister, Nikki, and I did go to Hobby Lobby to get some more crafting supplies, though. That was the big adventure of the day, haha. But on the plus side, I did finish Lindsey's present for Christmas!
Yay crayon melting!
I was super happy with how this turned out, and I can't wait to give it to my sissy! I also crafted a little something for myself while I was at it...
Beginnings of an awesome canvas
This is more like just the start, but it's going to be fantastic, trust me! Other than that, today was completely lazy--again. I'm starting to think going back to school is going to be a huge wake-up call. Ohz well! Might as well live up being a sloth in hibernation bum while I can, right?

Now I'm just waitin for the boyfran to get off work and pick me up so we can watch a movie together. It has been much too long since I have seen him! I will leave you with an update on my scarf knitting!
Gettin' there!
Still got a lot to go. But I have plenty of time these next few days. Well, Toddly should be here soon so I better go change into some real clothes. Ta ta for now!
