On the Road Again

Hello lovelies!

I hope everyone had a fantastically merry Christmas, and I hope Santa brought you everything you wanted!! I definitely felt blessed yesterday as I realized how many good things I have in my life. I have the most amazing family, the funniest, most incredible friends, and a loving, supportive boyfriend. When you stop and take a minute to reflect on your life and focus on what you do have instead of what you don't have, you'll see how fortunate you are and realize that not one moment of life should be taken for granted :)

Ok, enough of my preaching....onto CHRISTMAS!! I had a fantastic Christmas. My little sister woke me up at 8:30, ready to go downstairs and open presents. It took some great force gentle coaxing, but finally I was up! We all went downstairs to find this...

Stockings!!!

And presents!!!
Stockings are and will always be my favorite part of Christmas. I love going through every little thing in them and finding all the new surprises. Yes, I am aware how much saying that makes me sound like a seven year old. But, hey, tis the season. My little sister handed out all the presents--we each have a designated place we sit each year while we open them. Fortunately, my place is on the couch. I was quite comfy. We all enjoyed opening our mounds of presents and playing around with everything. Here's me with my pile...

Prezzies!
Please do not be dazzled by my beauty in the above picture. I understand it's pretty overwhelming :) The rest of the day consisted of watching Glee Season 2, playing Banana Grams (amazing game!!!), eating our Christmas feast (really delayed Thanksgiving, and watching A Christmas Story. It was a great day, and I love just spending it with my family.

Now we're just about to leave for Illinois to see my grandparents and some other family. And guess who else I get to see??

My older sissy!!! Yayyy! She's driving from Chicago to where my grandparents live today, also, so she'll be there around the same time we will. And she's bringing her new kitten!! I can't wait to see her--it's been too long!

I have a feeling the entire 9 1/2 hour drive to Illinois will consist of knitting, reading the second Hunger Games, and sleeping. Sounds good to me! I probably won't be writing any blog posts while I'm there, though, because my grandparents only have dial-up internet and I would rather gag myself with a spoon not have to tackle that. So, I shall leave you with something beautiful to look at!

Hehehe
Haha! Just kidding. Here's the real picture...

Sunrise!
Is this sunrise not just gorgeous??? I saw it on my way back from the gym this morning (yes, I did in fact go to the gym at 5:30 am) and I just had to stop and take a picture. BEAUTIFUL!!

Alrighty!!! Gotta get on the road! Ciao for now!
